Happy birthday Kaien-dono 10/27/12 it is midnight as I post this, I was going to wait for morning, but... midnight is the next day, so technically it's his birthday right now.
It's been a long, cold, lonely day so I just wanted to say happy birthday Kaien-dono. I know you're a fictional character, but you always give me hope and strength and you have a wonderful smile that I really love and makes me smile as well. You're a real hero to me. You were and are a wonderful person, and I really wish I could have had a mentor and friend like you in my life. Thanks for inspiring me in life and I'll keep your heart alive as well just as I hope my nakama will keep mine. So from the very bottom of my heart, please have a wonderful birthday. And thank you Kubo Tite for making such an amazing character as Shiba Kaien.
On the grave is a plate of Ohagi, his favorite food. ^^ The spot on the tree was at first an accident, but if you look at it, it kinda looks like him. So in a way, I feel like it's Kaien-dono's spirit standing there. Nejibena is there of course, always at his master's side and that letter is probably a birthday card from Rukia.
I drew this with charcoal, like usual. Except... my scanner is horrible and you couldn't see the lines, so I had to invert it to get it to show up well. It sucks, but I can't get this to show up any other way.
Well to start with, its deep and and sincere message is very beautiful. Even if the scan came out wrong I think the way you turned it to your advantage worked perfectly a very well done.
The piece may be simple but its underline message is deep, the tress looks natural, tombstone writing is well done, clear and readable. I think that even though its simple its a good piece of work.
So well done I look forward to anymore of your late night postings, even better that you did it on the birthday so you did a great job
OMG!!! So simple but yet sooo deep! Aaaw Kaien-dono,happy birthday! This is so beautifully sad! The black colour with the white lines,it looks really deep and sad...gwaah! Can't express myself! And Rukia....aww! I LOVE Kaien,he's one of my fav Bleach characters and it's really a shame he died... And i think he's better than Ichigo...
